"How do you clean a very heavy (cannot move) cathedral Amethyst crystal? I did get my son to move it last summer for charging in full moon but I want to use it to charge other crystals and fear it is not clean. Thank you for a very informative website and amazing crystals."
Thank you for your crystal inquiry.
Lucky you for having such a wonderful piece to enjoy! A large piece, like an Amethyst cathedral, can be difficult to cleanse but I have an idea for you to try.
Start by laying paper towel or towels around the piece. You might want to put down some plastic wrap or bags first so that the cleansing does not damage what the cathedral is sitting on. Then take a spray bottle with nice clean spring water and spray the cathedral all over so that the water is dripping off of it and collecting on the towels. I personally would do this a few times so that all dust and what-not is removed.
After you have done this just take a dry towel and carefully dab off as much of the water as you can. Let it air dry overnight and then you can energetically cleanse it with some sage.
I hope you find this helpful!
