Selenite Palm Stones

Question:

"Hi there, I accidently soaked my selenite crystal stone in water with salt to cleanse it, not knowing it would take off all the shine. I'm wondering how to get the shine back? I've rubbed it with a soft cloth but that didn't work. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you much."

Answer:

Greetings Carla,

Thank you for your crystal inquiry.

Selenite is one crystal that does not need to be cleansed, other than maybe smudging it with sage once a year. Water is not a friend of Selenite as you found out. This article can give you mor information.

One other thing you could try is a very fine grit sandpaper and then the soft cloth. This may work but if it doesn't the Selenite should still be fine. If you don't think it feels the same or is too damaged you can return it the earth by burying it and thanking it for it's service.

I hope you find this helpful!
