If I am sitting up (physically lying down is not an option) and have to clear my chakras by myself, where is the proper place to hold the pendulum since it won't be pointing downward at me and what is the best method for placing and holding the chakra stones on my body since I will be sitting up?

HI!

Thank you for your inquiry. I often clean my chakras sitting up. To do this, hold the penduluma few inches from your chakra. The pendulum will be pointing straight down. You will clean the chakras with the chakras and pendulum both in the vertical position instead of horizontal. To clean the Base chakra if you are in a chair, go out a few more inches until the pendulum clears the chair.

To use crystals on each chakra, you can place crystals in your pockets or the sides of your thighs to reach your Base Chakra. If it is possible, they can also be placed on the floor underneath your chair. For the Sacral Chakra, a crystal on your belly button would work. The hardest one to hold in place is the Solar Plexus Chakra. For this chakra crystals with a hole in it that can be strung on a long chain or string would work. I have Amber beads that I have strung on very long string that hits the Solar Plexus area. For the Heart chakra, I have pendant crystals that I also use with chains that hit right at that chakra. For the Throat, not only do pendant beads work, but earrings too. To keep crystals on the Third Eye I use a loose headband to keep the rocks in place. Since my hair is long I use my hair to keep the stones on my Crown Chakra. Thin knit hats as well as headbands can serve the same purpose.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

Crystal Blessings!
