I just received the crystal I ordered and it's absolutely beautiful! I only want to know how I can properly clear and charge a Bloodstone and if it's safe to run it under water, as some people have said they can't get wet. Thank you!

Hi M:

Thanks for your question about how to clear and charge your Bloodstone crystal. I would not leave it in water for a long time but if you want to run it through and then dry it promptly it should be fine.  Personally, I prefer to use dirt to charge my Bloodstone.  Since it has powerful grounding properties it will respond well to being placed either in or on top of dirt and placed overnight.  Place it in a window to use the Moon/Sun Energy.  Many people feel that you need to have a Full Moon to clear and charge your crystals but the Moon is always powerful.  We are in midst of the New Moon right now and that is fabulous energy to set your intention for what you would like the crystal to bring into your life.  Placing it by a Green or Red Candle will also be an excellent way to clear and charge Bloodstone.
