Welcome to March 2019! How is your year going thus far?
Apart from St. Patrick's day, did you know that there are a couple of significant Earth days this month, namely World Water Day and the Spring Equinox?
As the Earth starts to defrost a little and seeds begin to sprout to say hello, look to your life:
Are there areas that need some water, a little nurturing as they're a little dry and neglected? Or are there seeds, goals and intentions that haven't sprouted? How can you adjust that in order for them to sprout and grow? Life is all about cycles and change, sometimes things don't grow and that's okay because we can change. It's not a race, so don't rush, instead tend lovingly.
This month, the beautiful Jenn from Feather Spirit Crystal Healing is sharing with us a crystal grid she created for the waters of Earth. Water is such an important part of our lives and our bodies, yet we do not honor it as much as we probably should. As a Pisces, I have always been strongly drawn to the ocean - I feel at home there. The powerful, healing energy of the sea touches my soul in a way that nothing else can - it moves me.
Water is such an incredible force of nature - one to be reckoned with. Much like the emotions of a sensitive and intuitive Pisces, it can be calm and serene one minute, and bring chaos and disruption the next. Bringing a sense of renewal, water cleanses and purifies, heals and rebirths. It is emotional, ebbing and flowing, constantly changing - with divinity and magic at its core.
Water is everything. It is one of the basic building blocks of the planet - and necessary for survival. All living beings on Earth depend upon water for our livelihood. We cannot exist without it. We must honor, respect and take care of it.
World Water Day, March 22nd, is a day to recognize the importance of fresh water and to stand together to ensure that all living beings have access to clean water.
With the intention of sending love and healing energy to our oceans, lakes, ponds and rivers, I created this crystal grid to also honor and offer gratitude. As humans, it is our responsibility to take care of the Earth's waters and ensure they are not only clean, but accessible to all.
I chose the following stones associated with water for my crystal grid:
Clear Quartz - The Master Healer, Amplification, Divine Energy.
Larimar - Balances polar energies, Earth healing and geopathic stress, Tranquility and peace.
Sodalite - Serenity, Truth, Filters negativity, Communication.

Amethyst - Healing for humans, plants and animals, Divine Energy, Understanding, Protective Light.
Aquamarine - Protects those around water, "Mermaid's Stone," Purity, Cleansing, Service to the world and humanity, Justice.

Ah the magic of Spring! The sounds, sights, smells, and yes - the sun! Here in the northern Hemisphere, we welcome the rebirth that is evident everywhere, as we say farewell to the quiet sleepiness of winter. Most of us feel energized with the approach of Spring – we want to be outside, commune with Mother Earth up close and personal, and get our hands into the soil to fuel our own personal cycle of growth. The spring always feels like a fresh start – a gift from Mother Earth to help us awaken, move forward, and grow!
Those who know me know that I’m all about balance – a highly underrated concept, yet essential for wellness. Balance is an ongoing process for each of us, and one that deserves our attention and mindfulness as we move toward wholeness and health. The equinoxes, Spring and Fall, are also all about balance – those exquisite times when the sun and the moon grace Mother Earth with equal amounts of their amazing, nourishing energy.
Speaking of Mother Earth, she has provided us with her own crystal creations to support and enhance our lives during the equinoxes. Fortunately, there are many to choose from, so we can choose the ones that are right for us. Isn’t She amazing?
In keeping with the energy of the Spring Equinox, I am drawn to those stones that represent growth, rebirth, healing, and rebalancing as we emerge from winter’s dark cocoon. For me, green stones carry that energy - and they also resonate with the heart chakra. This seems appropriate for the season as we move outside of ourselves (and our homes!) to embrace the joyful harmonious energy of Spring. But this energy is not defined by color – Mother Earth has quite a selection of crystals that feel just right for the magic of Spring.

Although these are some of my equinox favorites, I also have a fondness for Amazonite, Carnelian, Citrine, Jade, and Lapis Lazuli, to name a few. Our dear Mother Earth has blessed us with many gifts to help us grow, move forward, and remain balanced. You will likely have your own favorites, and as always, honor your intuition and let it guide you to the crystals that are best for you.
