Independence day is a huge holiday for us here in the USA, but anyone can appreciate the spirit of independence! In addition to this, the colors associated with the fourth of July are colors that work great together. It's colors you can work with all of the time as red can be grounding, blue can help to enhance your intuition and white can promote connection to the Universe or higher powers. We all want to feel independent as well as connected to each other.

This month we have two, awesome articles from Kathleen Johnson from UniverSOULheart Reiki and Jackie Nees from Aurora Spirit! We all know that bees are important to the environment and Kathleen shares some great crystals for pollinators and our gardens, while Jackie takes a look at whether we are on track with our 2019 goals and shares some crystals that we can work with if we aren't.

Featured Crystals

With the spirit of independence strong this month, let's take a look at some crystals that are known to promote just that.

Heliodor -  used with the Solar Plexus chakra can help to boost your willpower and determination as well as gain an increased sense of vitality through the day. I'll take some of that please!

Zoisite - supports those who are too strongly influenced by others. It aids in finding one's own truth, and then having the courage to walk in that truth rather than conforming for thte sake of "fitting in."

Lepidolite - everyone knows that Lepidolite can help ease stress and anxiety but it also helps to stop obsessive thoughts, and relieve despondency. It's such a handy crystal to have in your kit and life!

Creative Crystal Blessings,
Siobhan

Are You On Track With Your 2019 Goals?

Are you on Track with your 2019 Goals by Jackie Nees - Image by Graciela Zerpa from Pixabay

July is a great time for a mid-year check-in. If you’re someone who sets goals at the beginning of each year, now is the perfect time to review them and determine whether you are on track, or need to course correct. You may even realize that what you set out to accomplish at that time, is no longer something you’re excited about, and that’s ok.

If you didn’t set any goals in January, no worries! Right now is an excellent time to dig in and figure out what you’d like to accomplish before the year comes to a close.

Block out some time on your calendar to sit down and review your intentions. Perhaps between the beginning of the year and now, your circumstances have changed, or maybe you’ve been inspired to create something new that you hadn’t thought of then. Think about what action you can take to create your desired outcome.

I love using crystals to help support me in manifesting my goals. I’ve found that creating crystal grids really helps me to focus my intentions, but I also like to carry individual crystals with me, so I can stay mindful throughout the day of what I want to accomplish. I’ve selected a few of my favorite crystals for goal setting and manifestation that I wanted to share with you.

Rainbow Fluorite is perfect for when you need to clear your mind and get laser focused. It helps to clear away any thoughts and ideas that aren’t serving you to make room for manifesting what it is you truly want. It’s also a great crystal to get those creative juices flowing.

Bloodstone helps to remove energy blockages that are keeping you from achieving your dreams. If losing weight is one of your goals, Bloodstone is great for revving up your metabolism.

Carnelian is my go-to stone for boosting my motivation. If you feel off track with your goals, Carnelian will help revive that zestful feeling for you, and if you decide the original goal isn’t what you want, then Carnelian will help you take action on your new goals.

Clear Quartz is an excellent stone for amplifying your intentions. Use it together with any of the other crystals mentioned, or by itself. One thing that I like to do is to create a crystal grid for what I want to accomplish, with Clear Quartz tower or generator as the center stone. I then write down my intention and place it under the Clear Quartz before activating the grid.

Wishing you an amazing second half of 2019. Happy Manifesting!

Crystals for Pollinators and Gardens

Crystals for Pollinators and Gardens by Kathleen Johnson

In the United States, National Pollinator Week in June celebrates the world’s precious pollinators and helps to raise awareness of their importance in our ecosystem, and what each of us can do to protect them.  Many of you already know the valuable services provided by these pollinators, which include bees, butterflies, birds, bats, and even beetles. These pollinators account for approximately one-third of our total food supply – that’s 1 out of every 3 bites of food! Clearly, it’s in our best interest to care for these creatures who do so much for us. As a beekeeper, it is a topic near and dear to me.

Although the pollinator population has been dropping at alarming rates across the globe for many reasons, each one of us has the ability to offer support and a helping hand to these hardworking allies. A few examples include planting pollinator-friendly gardens and plants, providing them with a clean water source, eliminating the use of pesticides (considered to be the most likely cause of pollinator decline), and becoming informed and educated about how these busy creatures contribute to our ecosystem. Unfortunately, many misconceptions exist around some pollinators, especially bees and bats; it is helpful to learn the facts so we can work together to support them.

Another way we can help our pollinators is through the use of crystals. Yes, our beloved stones can provide support for the bees, butterflies, bats, birds, and beetles. Mother Earth is truly amazing! Her crystals can do much to calm upheaval in the energy that surrounds our planet, as well as mitigate pollution damage and harmful EMF energies.

There are many ways to use crystals and stones to support our pollinators and Mother Earth. Creating a crystal grid on a map is a great way to send healing intentions to large areas that may be especially affected by pollution and climate change. I personally love this idea, because of its beautiful simplicity. Planting crystals in the soil of gardens or houseplants is a more direct way to support wellbeing. As a beekeeper, I place crystals directly in the hives to support the colonies’ health.

Some of my favorite choices for pollinator support and Earth healing include:

Amber Calcite has a gentle energy that promotes a sense of relaxed alertness. When placed in an active beehive, this stone provides calming vibrations for the bees, which reduces stress and enhances their wellbeing.

Black Tourmaline is a stone for all seasons and reasons. It protects, cleanses, dispels negativity, and also grounds us to Mother Earth. It is one of my favorites for placing directly in the beehives.

Brown Aragonite is a wonderful ally for releasing toxic energies and is very effective as an Earth healer. It balances, stabilizes, and grounds us to the Earth, thereby inviting Her powerful energies. When used in a working hive, it helps the bees to “shake off” pollutants and harmful energies.

Bumblebee Jasper is a great choice for the bees by using the aforementioned crystal grid. Place the chosen stones on a map and set a specific intention for healing – an easy and effective method to support the bees.

Moss Agate and Tree Agate are well-known for enhancing and protecting plant growth. Place the stones in a garden, houseplants, beneath trees, or anywhere healthy plant growth is desired. Create an elixir and use it to water your plants. Healthy plant growth is a healthy source of sustenance for the pollinators!

Clear Quartz, of course! Known as “The Master Healer,” it amplifies and enhances the energy of other stones. Add some Clear Quartz for extra vitality and healing.

Moonstone is a wonderful choice for Earth healing endeavors. It represents fertility, healing, and growth, and also adds an element of peace and restfulness. I garden in accordance with lunar phases, and Moonstone imbues the plants with that lovely lunar energy. When the pollinators visit my garden, they receive that energy through their activities.

Aquamarine in the garden will help the soil retain water, and mitigate the effects of drought conditions. Also, placing Aquamarine in the water supply for birds, bees, and butterflies will provide a healthful benefit. Try adding some Aquamarine to a bird bath; it is aesthetically pleasing, and also helps our pollinators.

These recommended stones are merely a glimpse into the many that are available, courtesy of our dear Mother Earth. If you garden, have houseplants, keep bees, or simply have a desire to help our hardworking pollinators keep our planet healthy, add some crystal therapy to your Earth healing toolbox.  The bees, birds, butterflies, bats, and beetles will thank you and bless you with continued abundance.

Sparkle on,
Kathleen Johnson, M.A., RMT, CCH from UniverSOUL Heart Reiki
