Hello Healing Crystals! I would like to ask you something. I dropped my sphere of Aragonite and my little Herderite on the floor(wood). I looked at them and they appear to be fine. How safe they are they (and crystals in general) when they hit something? Do they change (crack) the structure or the vibration inside, even if on the ouside they are alright? Thank you so much, have a great day!

Dear A,
Thank you for contacting us with your question.

When crystals hit something -- whether they break or not -- their internal structure remains the same, even if they crack inside. If they are crystals that are generally considered to be toxic based on their chemical composition, and if they were in polished form, and if the crack that appread revealed the inside of the crystal which is not polished and which may have particles that are now able to get to the skin easily or be ingested accidentally -- then it would be another matter.
However-- specifically for the situation that you describe in your question -- you can continue to use your stones knowing that their vibration remained the same.
Additionally -- consider that those of us who collect crystals and minerals tend to be careful with them, but that is not necessarily the case with those who handle them when they are first mined out of the earth.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

We look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Crystal Blessings!
