Hi,
If the pieces with a lot of colour or more vibrant colour is what appeals to you, then that is the one you should go for definitely.
The pieces we are attracted to are huge indicators of what we are ready to work with right now.
Shape, tumbled, natural or polished doesn't matter all that much BUT what does matter very much is that you are attracted to the piece so go with what sticks in your mind and what you can't stop thinking about.
For crystals ON the body, I always feel that tumbled or cabochons work best for me BUT natural could work just as well. Some say that tumbles have more of a gentle energy whereas natural and polished can have a stronger energy. I suppose this may be true BUT I rather work with what speaks to me right now than focus too much on that.
