Does the heat treatment lower the power of the crystal? Thank you for your response.

Thanks for your question about heat treated crystals. It is really a matter of opinion whether using treatments on crystals lowers their energy. In my experience - and I do have and use heat treated crystals - it does not diminish their positive energy or healing abilities. Anytime a crystal is altered whether by heat, shaping & polishing or even drilling holes to make jewelry then the energy is going to be effected. Truthfully you could make a case that as soon as the crystal is dug from the earth that the energy is changed. Metaphysics is all about energies coming into contact with each other and altering each other - which is how we feel and benefit from the energy of crystals in the first place. My advices is to follow your instincts. If you have a crystal and the energy feels positive to you then it does not matter if it was heat treated or even if it is a man-made crystal. What matters is how you and the crystal connect and how the energy can benefit you and that is always very individual and personal.
