I would like to purchase some stones, such as quartz, smokey quartz, obsidian, tourmaline and tanzinite, and hematite for grounding and protection purposes mainly. I ask what should I consider if these are my goals with the stones? Does the A or B grade matter when purchasing for these purposes or does that only effect the beauty of the stones? Is there anything else I should know about the stones besides clearing them? If I were to purchase one say off e-bay is there something one could do to a stone to make it less effective? Thanks for your email and for visiting our website. Everything vibrates and each different type of crystal has its own unique vibration that can be a strong catalyst for healing. A grade stones are not necessarily "better" than the B grade stones, however sometimes the A grade stones are more clear and pure and thus have a stronger vibration. B grade stones can be very useful and I suggest that you experiment with them and see how they feel different to you.

It is important to look at the reputation of the seller to help make sure that you get the size and quality that is represented in the pictures.
