"Hello, I just watched Lourdes on youtube and I have a question concerning pendulum work. For self healing I use the pendulum to pick out which, in my collection of crystals, are relevant for me at the time. It always picks at least 6 and sometimes in the teens. My question is, sometimes when it picks the stone it swings clockwise, sometimes anti-clockwise, and sometimes straight back and forth. Do you have any insight on what the difference is in the stone energies that are causing it to not be consistent? What info is it trying to give me?
Thank you for your time and insight!"
Thank you so much for reaching out!
Do you always use the same pendulum each time? I ask this because each pendulum can react to stones differently. So while one pendulum might go clockwise above a crystal, another pendulum might go counter-clockwise above that exact same crystal.
Also it depends on what your intention is on using the pendulum. Are you asking specific "yes" or "no" type of questions? You need to be really specific in your intention of using the pendulum.
If you are just using it to pick out stones to work with -- then often times, the pendulum will swing forward and backward for a "yes" and left and right for a "no." It also may go clockwise for a "yes" and counter-clockwise for a "no." This is the importance of getting to know your pendulum. While this is the general rule of thumb for pendulums, each one can be different (and react to your energy differently) so it is really important to get to know it. A great way to start is to ask it really clear questions like "Is my name Tara?" and see which way it moves.
I truly hope that this helps! I wish you lots of enjoyment on your crystal healing journey.
