Do healing crystals really work? Thank you for taking the time to answer me.
Hello D,
Most people who are not familiar with how and why crystals "work" ask us this question, so you are not alone. It is perfectly understandable, since we are not taught to think in terms of energy and vibration, nor are we taught that crystals and minerals help make the Earth's electro-magnetic field -- and thus life on Earth -- possible.
Crystals emit specific frequencies and vibrations based on their chemical composition and crystalline lattice. As our bodies contain water (which is highly affected by these vibrations), as well as numerous minerals (calcium, magnetite, apatite, etc), the vibrations of the crystals interact with the vibrations of the water and minerals in our bodies. Over time people have discovered specific correlations between specific crystals and how they affect us on the level of body, emotions, mind, and soul. You can find a great scientific explanation in the book called “Vibrational Medicine: The #1 Handbook of Subtle-Energy Therapies” by Dr. Richard Gerber M.D. (third edition).
Crystals work with the energy of the person to help release energetic blockages that may contribute to an illness or a dis-ease. I must let you know that on their own, they do not cure illnesses.
