Fluorite Chunks

Question:

"I have a flourite crystal which I have been using in Reiki and meditation practice. Tonight, it fell out of my pocket and broke. Is there a procedure for properly disposing of a broken crystal, such as burying it? I loved this crystal, and it vibrated perfected in my hands. I'm sure I can find another one, but I want to make  sure that I honor the broken one for all the healing that it has brought me, and others."

Answer:

Hi S,

Welcome to Healing Crystals and thanks for your inquiry. We happen to have a few articles in our database that deal with "broken" crystals:

Also, Shawn, the founder of healing crystals shared that he believes that we can't really "break" a crystal as it has already been removed from its natural setting and broken away from the earth that originally surrounded and contained it. So, the "broken" crystal appears broken to the eye, but the vibration is not broken, it's just expanded into two parts. If you feel that the vibration has changed, you may want to put the broken peace in a plant, or in your garden with the intention of adding good energy to your home or surrounding your home. I use broken pieces in grids that I have under my treatment table and grids that I place on my body during healing sessions.

Just the fact that you're writing about honoring the crystal is honoring. Your intention is to acknowledge the fact that you are aware of the blessings that you've received from the crystal - that's fantastic! Sometimes I wonder if the crystal has served it's purpose and it's time to move on to another purpose? You may want to "pay forward" one of the pieces to a friend for healing... there are so many possibilities for "broken" crystals, it's amazing. We really appreciate your love for crystals and send you love and light as you determine what to do with your "extra" pieces.
