Aragonite Sphere

Question:

"Hello, I am looking for crystals that my husband can keep in his desk at work. He works in the medical field and has to read a lot of information in chart notes about patients and a lot of it is sad and it effects him some days. Is there anything he can keep with him that will help him to not be brought down by reading negative things? He knows how much I love my crystals so he is open to the idea of keeping some in his desk :)"

Answer:

Hi L,

Thanks for reaching out to Healing Crystals!

I can absolutely recommend some crystals for your husband. Incidentally, I also work in the medical field reading and typing charts, and I know exactly what you're describing as far as how taking on the emotions of someone's story can affect you that way. I personally keep a large cluster of Aragonite on my desk. It's a really good grounding stone that can help keep you from becoming "attached" to the sadness surrounding the patient's stories. I also have a lot of Smoky Quartz and Black Tourmaline around my office to deflect and absorb any emotions or negativity that I don't want to carry with me. It may also be helpful to have some Amethyst or Rose Quartz to fill the space with a peaceful, loving energy so that he does't get too detached and maintains some of the empathy that he needs to stay balanced.

We wish you the best of luck and please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance,

Nicole Marie, from Sol Path Tarot and Crystal Magick
