Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interesting question.
The crystals suggested (Chalcopyrite and Amazonite) can be of great support to you. I'd also suggest Clear Quartz to help bring clarity to the situation. It can also help amplify any other crystal vibrations if you decide to work another crystal.
Something else to consider is scrying with a pendulum (I'd suggest Clear Quartz or Rose Quartz) or if the missing person had a favorite crystal, you could even see if you're possibly drawn to working with that.
