Hello Healing Crystals!

I have bought so many crystals and stones from your wonderful online store! ALWAYS happy with the quality.

I have Restless Limbs Syndrome, which is Restless Legs but it also affects my arms. I am learning so much about crystals, herbs and oils... are there any you might recommend for RLS and, if so, how would they be used? I have just recently started meditating within a simple grid of quartz points, and while it is a new experience, I am finding it wonderful to do. Just want you to know I am open to ANY suggestion that might make symptoms better and might facilitate using less medication!

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Feel free to share my question if it would be helpful to others!

Good Morning Teresa,

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled that you are happy with your purchases. We are certainly honored to have you.

I am so glad that you are opened to sharing your question. This can definitely help to educate others on what RLS is and how it can be eased with the use of crystals.

In my research, I found some information in the Journal of Internal Medicine that shares the following: "Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common neurological sensory-motor disorder that is characterized by intense restlessness and unpleasant creeping sensations deep inside the lower legs. Symptoms appear when the legs are at rest and are worst in the evening and at night. They force patients to keep moving their legs, and often to get out of bed and wander about. Periodic limb movements (PLMS) are also common during sleep amongst those suffering from RLS, and sleep efficiency is severely reduced."

I was also surprised to learn that, "There are idiopathic as well as symptomatic forms of RLS, the latter being associated with e.g. pregnancy, iron deficiency and chronic renal failure."

Many times the recommendations are neurologically related — finding medications that can help balance the dopamine dysfunction, etc. There are more natural treatments, not to cure, but to ease the symptoms which include finding ways to ease/remove stress and help the muscles relax. This is where crystals can definitely assist you.

Let's start with some natural muscle relaxers:

Iolite is a wonderful stone to help aid in muscle relaxation. It is also a good selection to add to your healing meditations. While I cannot recommend that you immerse Iolite in water for foot baths, etc (it contains aluminum which can be toxic when ingested or absorbed) I can certainly suggest that you wear it, hold it, or even tape a piece to your limbs to help manifest muscle relaxation.

Stilbite can also help to relax muscles and ease tension. Again, these are not recommended to immerse in water due to their aluminum content, but you can certainly charge water (putting the crystals on the outside and around the glass container) and add that water to a foot bath or hot, relaxing bubble bath :)

Here are some suggestions to help ease stress and relax the body:

Amber relieves stress, eases tension in the muscles, and aids in relaxation.

Blue Calcite soothes the nerves and lessens anxieties. Blue Calcite facilitates physical healing by clearing negative emotions and encouraging rest and relaxation.

Chrysocolla is soothing and calming in times of stress, and brings about gentle release.

Rose Quartz helps to calm and soothe. I do recommend putting a few tumbles in a foot bath or bath tub and allowing the Rose Quartz to infuse your body with its soothing energies.

You could also use any of the crystals suggested to hold in your hand while you are sitting in your quartz point grid. This will help to amplify the healing energy of what you choose to hold.

I love the fact that you are trying different ways to work with the crystals. I know you will find the crystal or combination of crystals that will bring you relief. Continued success on your crystal healing journey!

With love and crystal blessings,
