Question:

"I was wondering if you had ever heard or experienced a "wandering" or "traveling" crystal? I had a beautiful black crystal, looks like it was a generator tower from looking at some of your pictures on here. I have always had a fascination with rocks and crystals, and bought this small one at a craft store, already wrapped in fine-guage silver wire ready for jewelry making. I made up a necklace of this crystal and several other glass accent beads and small black seed beads with a silver hook and eye latch. I wore it everyday (when it was in my possession). I found that the hook and eye latch was very sturdy and it would stay on me even through strenuous activity, but the necklace would occasionally disappear for no apparent reason. I lost it several times in school and several times at church and at home as well. It was always returned to me or I'd find it somewhere, usually in the possession of another person. I didn't give it much thought until a few years ago when I was missing it. I had "lost" it and still haven't found it. I feel that this particular crystal liked to visit other people and do it's work. And after it was done with me, it moved on. What are your thoughts?"

Answer:

Hi J,

Absolutely! I have had several go on a "walk about" and even had one, that was not mine, show up on my computer keyboard one morning :)

You are correct when you suggest that this particular crystal likes to visit others and share its energy. Each time it was "lost" I feel like the crystal was in the possession of someone who needed its energy (whether they knew it or not). Once the sharing was completed, it was returned to you.  You are very in tune with your crystals, and I believe you are right --you have simply learned what you needed to from the crystal and it shared all it needed to with you. Time to move on to help someone else.

I always have a little ritual for my dear, much loved, departed crystals. I sit quietly and just thank them for their time with me. For the blessings and grace they shared with me. I ask that they continue their work for the highest good of those they come into contact with and wish them well on their journey. :)

With love and crystal blessings,
Kristi
