I've seen several people ask questions about what crystals would be good to assist with fibromyalgia. I don't have fibromyalgia; I have a nerve condition called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), usually caused by an injury or trauma in the arms or legs which causes the nerves to basically short-circuit, which manifest in the affected area, and sometimes throughout the entire body, as temperature and skin changes, swelling, and chronic acute pain. If it's flaring up, it takes next to nothing to cause intense pain, whether it's someone bumping you, fabric brushing against your skin, or even the air conditioning kicking in causing air to move. Treatments are usually a combination of narcotics and invasive procedures such as nerve blocks, and sometimes even spinal cord stimulators.

So my question is, are there any crystals that you would recommend for such a specific, albeit fluctuating, type of pain? I've found that clear quartz by itself does help, but if there are crystals that might be a little more specific that could be used in conjunction, that would be indescribably wonderful. Thank you so much for your help!

Love and light be with you always,
~Meredith

Meredith,

Sending you a very gentle hug and long distance healing. What a challenge you are going through!

There are quite a few crystals that can be used for pain relief, so you  may want to choose those you resonate with and do a few tests to see what works best for you. For general pain relief, I suggest the following:
Amber-general pain relief, physical
Clear Quartz-general
Lapis Lazuli-pain relief, physical
Malachite-general
Sodalite-general
Turquoise-pain relief
Yellow Jasper-pain relief

Since the clear quartz is working for you, I would like to recommend some other crystals in the quartz family that you can use either by themselves or in tandem with the clear quartz.
Amethyst, Rose Quartz or Smoky Quartz are all used for various types of pain relief.

I have personally used Seraphinite for some recent post surgery pain relief and it worked very well. I highly recommend the combination of the Seraphinite and Smoky Quartz.

Other stones that are recommended for pain relief include: Sunstone.

I would like to include this Healing Crystals article about Fibromyalgia because it has a list of crystals that deal with all of the different aspects- from pain to fatigue to depression.

I do realize that it is possible to lay the stones on the body may be painful, so I would like to suggest building a crystal grid under your bed as a way to help ease the pain. Here is an article on how to build a grid that may be helpful.  https://www.healingcrystals.com/How_To_Make_A_Grid__by_Kristi_Huggins_Articles_826.html

Also remember to clean the crystals you use for pain relief often, after every use would be best. This helps remove and release any dense energy absorbed during the pain relief process.

I wish you all of the best with your crystal healing journey.

Thank you for this. I also have CRPS (also known as RSD or causaglia.) this is very helpful. I have also heard that hematite can be very helpful for nerve pain.  (Submitted by: Kimm on March 31, 2021)
