I was so happy with my order received I just had to let you guys know along with the free gift which normally I do not see with other companies that I order from. :) I am just really trying to get started. I work in the Mental Health Substance Abuse career field, and a lot of times I feel some of my clients bring on various energies whether good or bad at times. I know one of my friends keep a a nice size quart z crystal around her computer and next to her as if it were a paper weight. What size do I need to get?. i want something affordable and not for the beauty aspect of it. I know I have to clear in regularly, so let me know you ideas of the matter. I was born 21 feb 1971at 1330 PM, so i am the two fish what crystals would be great personally for me I am currently utilizing The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall as a starting off point. What other books do you reccomend?

Greetings! We are always pleased when a customer gives us positive feedback on an order. Since you mentioned that you are new with crystals, I have given some links at the end of this recommendation for your education regarding books, cleansing, programming, and crystals specific to Pisces.
Crystals are especially helpful to someone in your field of expertise, and the crystals you use don't have to be large in order to be effective. However, I would recommend using at least one cluster in your office to maximize the amount of energy output in your office. Having some past experience with friends, I know that many people who abuse substances are already in a negative feedback loop of cause and effect, hence the continued abuse in the face of all those negative repercussions. It seems to me that addiction is often a symptom of a much deeper issue, and if you can alter the vibrational energy in a person's aura, even slightly, you might be able to provide a little relief from the cycle, or at least a light at the end of the tunnel. If it is only for a moment, that might be all it takes to give the client that feeling of hope that this cycle can be ended.
The first thing that came to mind when I read your question is Amethyst. Known as the Stone of Sobriety, Amethyst has been used traditionally to encourage recovery from physical and mental or emotional addictions. Amethyst has a wonderfully soothing vibration that can help relieve stress and tension, and it can transmute negative energies to positive. Spiritual Amethyst encourages inner strength and peace. Working with the Third-Eye and Crown Chakras, Amethyst is also known to help one develop intuition and can help clear the mind for meditation. The peaceful and spiritual vibrations of Amethyst can be quite helpful as a cluster in your office, to help them center themselves, calming their emotions in the process. The next crystal I want to suggest to you is Clear Quartz. Many crystal-lovers keep these clusters in their offices just to send out their higher vibrations into the environment where there may be stress, anger, frustration, and so forth. When working in any public service field, one is likely to encounter those same aforementioned energies, sometimes more so, and a Clear Quartz Cluster can not only absorb those negative energies, but it will also send out any intent you have programmed into it. Clear Quartz is known as the Master Healer of the mineral kingdom, and a cluster compounds those healing vibrations. Clear Quartz absorbs energy easily, and must be cleansed regularly. I do energy work with people who have come to me with a variety of issues, physical and emotional. I have a beautiful Rose Quartz Heart that I like to let clients hold while I am working on them. You might consider having a piece of Rose Quartz in your office for those who happen to be in any kind of emotional turmoil. I find Rose Quartz to be the supreme nurturing crystal, with calming, soothing, and relaxing properties that many people can sense just by holding the stone. Rose Quartz can enhance one's experience of Universal and Self Love, both of which are often missing in the addict. As a bonus, a piece of Rose Quartz will help you to release any negative vibrations you might have absorbed during the day. You can see our offering of Rose Quartz Crystals here:
Another stone that is often used specifically for problems with addiction is Lepidolite. It just so happens that Lepidolite is also a stone for Pisces. Lepidolite is a stone of transition, providing much needed supportive energies for the person who is undergoing a period of profound and/or unwanted change. Lepidolite contains the mineral Lithium, which is often used in antidepressants, and can transmit its energetic signature to those holding this stone. Helping to balance emotions with intellect, Lepidolite works with the Heart, Third-Eye, and Crown Chakras, to support the inner work necessary for the addict. To see our selection of Lepidolite, you can take a look at this page:
Finally, I recommend a good grounding stone such as Black Tourmaline. Black Tourmaline is a great stone for grounding high and/or intense energies into the physical. When dealing with mental health issues, you probably find that the energies can get pretty chaotic around you. Keeping a piece of Black Tourmaline around can help transmute negative energies into positive, and even deflect them altogether. Black Tourmaline can help those suffering from OCD, excessive negativity, and frequent worrying. It is also known for clearing electromagnetic smog from cell phones and computers. Protective Black Tourmaline can cleanse the aura of negative energy and clear away energy blockages in the chakras. For Black Tourmaline, see this link:
Since you are just getting started in your work with crystals, I want to direct you to a few articles that will answer some of your other questions. Here are the links to the various articles that you will want to read:
Crystals for Pisces: http://www.healingcrystals.com/March_2006_Newsletter_-_Crystals_for_Pisces_Articles_169.html
Books About Crystals: http://www.healingcrystals.com/Crystal_Books_and_Resources_Articles_152.html
I hope this information provides what you are looking for. Most of the crystals mentioned above should not be cleansed using water or salt, as the stones are friable and might come apart. The best way that I like to cleanse my crystals is either by sound or smudging, both of which are mentioned in the article on clearing your stones, because these methods are safe for any crystal.
I wish you much good luck on your crystal-healing journeys.
Peace and Blessings,
