Subject: Inquiry from HealingCrystals.com - Discount Prices on Healing Crystals, Minerals & Tumbled Stones
I have went through a dramatic change over the last few years. I recently was divorced, relocated, remarried and all may have been too hasty. I recently turned 50 and I guess I went through a drastic mid life crisis. I am now dealing with menapause, depression, weight gain, and financial problems. All of which has caused anxiety, sleeplessness. I literally have tightness in the chest and sometimes pain like and anxiety attack. I believe in crystals however;have no clue which ones would help me. Could you please recommend some to me. I would greatly appreciate you advice.
I am sorry to hear that you are going through trouble. While there are no quick fixes for what you are experiencing, there are a few things you can do to start on the road to recovery. The first thing I must mention before I go into this is that I am not a doctor or a professional psychiatrist, and thus I cannot give you "professional" advice. However I am an ordained minister, tarot reader, and energy-healer, and I am seeing an increasing number of people going through what you have described. Often, what is called a "mid-life crisis" is a result of the phenomena that I've heard Wayne Dyer speak about: "What was true in the morning of your life becomes a lie in the afternoon". This experience can cause something known as "cognitive dissonance", that most of us tend to go through at some point in our lives, including myself. It can take some inner work to move beyond this mental state.
The first thing I want to recommend to you, before I go into suggested crystals, is going within to determine the root cause for your issues. A great many of us in this world are stuck living an inauthentic life: working unfulfilling jobs that are incongruent with our higher purpose; denying our true feelings in order to fit into this increasingly one-seasoned world; and only paying attention to the demands of the single-minded ego. I believe that this way of existing is the major cause of most things we call "personal problems" in this world. When we live an inauthentic life, we often turn to relationships, overworking, overeating, and/or other things, to compensate for the feeling of inner lack we are experiencing, which ultimately ends up causing more problems. I am not saying that I know this is what is going on with you, but having previously come through some serious trouble in my own life, and seeing the same thing happening in other peoples' lives, I just wanted to relate this possibility to you. Either way, going within can help you to make your own self-discoveries for personal empowerment. Consider meditating on this to see what you can come up with regarding causes for your own internal situation.
With that stuff out of the way, I can now discuss what kind of crystals will be the most beneficial to you in your current situation. You are obviously in a huge transitional phase. This is actually a good thing because if you utilize this time for your own personal and spiritual development, you will emerge on the other side a much more centered individual with a greater psychic immunity than you have ever known, and much more happiness and joy.
A perfect crystal for this phase of your life is Danburite. Danburite can help to balance the emotional body and clear away energy blockages in the Heart Chakra, which may ease your anxiety symptoms. Also great for the Third-Eye and Crown Chakra, Danburite can assist you in your spiritual development by enhancing the flow between those chakras and the Heart Chakra. Danburite can activate the intellect, helping to bring reason combined with intuition into your life, to facilitate your coming to an understanding about the meaning and purpose behind this huge transition in your life. We have some Danburite at the following page:
Another crystal for deep self-examination is Sodalite. Take a look at this from our description of Sodalite: Sodalite is also very helpful for those who seem to be encountering many difficulties in their life, as it can bring unhealthy, ingrained patterns to the surface to be released, and it can promote deep self-examination to reveal underlying causes to one’s problems. When dealing with such covert issues, one should work with the stone consistently, by meditating with it and possibly sleeping with it under the pillow to help bring productive dreams. By enhancing one's ability for reason and logic, Sodalite can also promote truthfulness within, making your inner work much more productive. You can take a look at our Sodalite items on this page:
Amber is a great stone for ameliorating depression. Never needing to be cleared, Amber has wonderful healing properties that are gentle yet powerful. Amber is protective and clearing to the environment, making it wonderful to have on display in one's home. Amber opens and cleanses all the chakras and is good for self-healing of depression. Amber can also help one to learn how to manifest dreams and desires. Working with the Solar-Plexus Chakra, Amber can increase self-confidence and creative self-expression. Amber is also known to be a good luck stone. We have some Amber at this page:
A crystal I would recommend specifically for sleeplessness is Howlite. Known as a stone of attunement, Howlite increases the capacity of the Third-Eye Chakra to receive and process higher vibrational information. Howlite has a soothing vibration that is helpful to those undergoing intense periods of change, making it great for insomnia. Howlite can also bring mental awareness to repressed issues needing to be dealt with, but which are currently hidden from your view. Howlite promotes understanding and patience during periods of transition, and can help one recognize the inherent perfection of the Universe. You can see some Howlite here:

I hope this information helps you. Please don't hesitate to send in another question if needed. I wish you many blessings on your journey of inner discovery.
Peace and Love,
