Dear Miriam~
Greetings and thank you for your email. I imagine that there might be a fair amount of people who would be interested in crystals that could be used to help Alzheimer's symptoms. I must state here that I am not a doctor and the recommendations for crystals I give on this website are in no way meant to replace your own regular medical care.
Before I begin discussing the crystals, I would like to first suggest some sort of gentle detox for the patient. In my own experience, I have found a detox involving a special tea, a modified fast, and lots of baths, can help bring clarity to the mind that is heavily taxed. It is my understanding that Alzheimer's occurs as a result to multiple, environmental factors. Many studies link Alzheimer's to the ingestion of aluminum. It is my feeling that it could be a cumulative effect of so many toxins the body processes throughout a given lifetime. It might be helpful to try to at least partially detox the body of these impurities before beginning work with various crystals. At the very least, have the patient drink plenty of water to help remove a portion of the toxins from the body.
Once the body is clarified from a detox, healing energies from the crystals will have better effects and results. At least, it seems to work that way for me and some others. I've noticed that the cleaner my insides are, the more clarity my mind has. In considering Alzheimer's, I have chosen crystals related to detoxing and memory.
For detox, I'm thinking Smokey Quartz and Black Obsidian. The Smokey Quartz could be worn, or held during meditation. The Obsidian, however, is best used in specified healing sessions, then buried overnight, followed by cleaning it off with some water. Both of these stones are known for their detoxing vibrations and can be used to help draw negative and stagnant energies off of the aura. they can also be used in a bath or foot bath, for the same purposes.

The next couple of stones I am thinking of for the brain, are Calcite and Clear Quartz. Both of these crystals can be placed on the Third-Eye to help clear blockages and open up the intuition. Intuition is the other hand to logic. We are trained to rely only on logic and to deny our intuition. I feel it is a shame to lose such a vital part of our cognitive functioning. There are many Third-Eye and Crown Chakra stones out there, but Clear Quartz is the Master Healer of the mineral kingdom, and offers wonderful vibes for for both chakras, helping to enhance the intuition. I feel Calcite is important for Alzheimer's because it is known as THE stone for the mind. Calcite's energies can be helpful during meditation to free up blocked energies in the Third-Eye, to be better utilized by the mind.

I hope to be working with an elderly gentleman who was a family doctor. He has alzherimer's, I have been told he is very confused, needs help getting dressed, etc.
I have many crystals myself, but I would like to take the family and him their own crystals.
Any help will be appreciated. This is the frist time I have seen your sight, but I had a dream to check into healing with crystals only a few minutes ago.
