I need, and certainly want, to travel to see my aging parents for the holidays. It is a 10 hour trip and I have been plagued with panic attacks since I was very young ( I am in my 50's now). With the exception of this past summer, I have not travelled more than 1-2 hours from home. The panic attacks consist of both physical (dizziness, stomach upset, shaking, chills to overheating, etc), as well as emotional issues (feel trapped and panicked and scared). So difficult to go places, and once there, it is so difficult to enjoy myself -- I wish I were heading home. If you can offer any suggestions of stones that might be helpful to ease the panic and anxiety, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.I have always enjoyed your website -- you have a wonderful inventory and I gain much information when I am researching stones and their properties. Thank you so much again!
Thank you so much for your question about which crystals can help you with your travel plans and anxiety.
I am so sorry that you suffer from these panic attacks. I have had mild attacks myself - typically when I am on a plane or get lost while I am driving - and crystals have always helped me a great deal. I usually like to keep at least one in my pocket and when I get stressed I reach for the crystal and hold it until I feel calmer. I think the Amethyst would be perfect for that. When you get it I would charge it with the intention that it will remind you that everything is fine and you are in complete control. Use the Black Tourmalinein a similar way except charge it as a reminder that you are safe and protected and nothing bad is going to happen to you. I would keep the Citrine, Turquoiseand Sodalitesomewhere where you can see them (without taking your attention off of the road) like on the dashboard or in the seat next to you. They will let you know that you are headed to a place of joy (time with your family, etc.) even though you may be stressed during the travel now. Even though we always want to live in the now, sometimes it is best to focus on the future to see if that helps us get through any present challenges. Finally I strongly suggest a Smokey Quartz. As soon as I read your letter that crystal just popped in my mind and I think it would really help you.
Another suggestion...maybe get a book on cd on tape that you can listen to while you are driving. It will make the time go quicker and take your mind off of your stress.
Thanks again and I will be thinking about you. I really hope that your trip is peaceful and your holidays are filled with love and light. I will be sending some to you and your family and please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of any further help. Wishing you lots of love and light!
