I have a daughter who suffers from TMJ. She has so much pain in her jaw at times that she has problems eating and talking. I was wondering what crystals might be best for her to use? Thank you so much!

Hi K:

I am so sorry to hear about your daughters TMJ and the pain that she is suffering.

Typically anything with the throat, mouth or jaw area can be helped with crystals that work on the Throat Chakra like Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli and/or Blue Lace AgateCalcite- particularly Blue or Green - would also be helpful towards alleviating the condition in the long term.  Amber will work on eliminating the pain that she is feeling in her jaw and teeth.  I would suggest that she wear a necklace with an Amber crystal and one of the others that I mentioned.  I think the Sodalite would be very beneficial and work well with the Amber.

I need to remind you that crystals are for healing and should be used as a compliment to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care. Crystals are not a medical treatment and should not be used as a replacement for medical care. Please consult your  healthcare specialist for your particular needs.

Thank you for your question and for your support of Healing Crystals.com.  I hope that your daughter feels better very soon and that you will reach out to us if you have any other questions.  I wish you and your family lots love and light.

Crystal Blessings!

What I have is technically not TMJ, but I clench my jaw so badly that the meniscus's in my jaw have torn. I also have pain ALL the time. I get migraines and neck pain so often that its difficult to eat talk and even sleep.

This article was so helpful, but I have also found that Selenite is really helpful as well. :)

Thank you!  (Submitted by: bECCA on May 18, 2017)
