Question:

"I was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2016 and currently in medication to manage my interstial lung disease, heart problems, GERD, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Can you recommend crystals that could help me also in managing these conditions? Thank you!"

Answer:

Hi there M,

Thank you for reaching out to us and thank you for your patience.

I first have to state our disclaimer that I am not a doctor and that crystals should not be used alone to treat medical conditions. That being said, I can certainly recommend some crystals that can help support you specifically for scleroderma.

Rose Quartz CabsNephrite Jade CabGreen Aventurine Cab

I don't know of any crystals specifically for scleroderma, but for general disorders of the skin, Rose Quartz and Jade are my top 2 picks. Green Aventurine and Chrysoprase are also excellent for skin problems and they are both generally very healing physically. I would combine one or more of these with a crystal for autoimmune diseases, such as Aquamarine and/or Rhodonite.

Water Bottles

Making crystal-energized water may also be of help for scleroderma. You can sip on this through the day or if you make a charged water with say Rose Quartz or Green Aventurine, you can add that to your bath water. Both of these make for excellent massage tools for the skin too. Please use the indirect method for making gem waters and you'll find more of this here: articles on making crystal-energized water

For the other conditions, I'll list some crystals which are known to support:
Interstial Lung Disease:
For general support of the lungs, you can work with Blue Calcite, CharoiteChalcopyriteChrysocollaDioptase, Flint, Green Calcite, HiddeniteMalachitePeridot, or Rose Quartz (also good for scarring as is Amber). I also really like Aquamarine for anything to do with the lungs and I find it to be a really detoxifying but powerful healer. What may be of good physical support is to get 2 of whichever you're drawn to and while laying down, place a piece of each side of your chest to start bringing support and energetic healing to the lungs. You can of course also hold a piece in each hand and do the same thing. Remember to cleanse your stones afterwards.

Heart Problems:
Crystals that physically support the heart include AmazoniteAmberBloodstoneChrysopraseDioptaseEmeraldGarnet, Green Tourmaline, RhodoniteStrawberry QuartzUnakite, and Zoisite w/Ruby. I also really like using crystal shaped hearts especially in Rose Quartz or Red Jasper, and you can easily wear a pendant in your chosen crystal (or shape) and have that hang over the heart to energetically support the heart.

GERD:
Bloodstone is an acid neutralizer, Turquoise reduces acid and Zoisite supports reducing inflammation due to over acidification. We don't have Zoisite at this current time but we do carry Ruby in Zoisite which you can use.

Rheumatoid Arthritis:
AgateAmberChrysocollaCopperEmeraldFluorite, and Malachite. For arthritis, many love using those copper bracelets or wearing a bracelet in a crystal of their choice, but what can also be quite helpful is to get a polished piece (larger tumbled stone that fits in your hand nicely, palmstone, wand) and gently massage any areas that need attention.

There are a lot of crystals to look at and consider so I'd recommend looking at all of these and seeing what you're drawn to, then choosing 1 for each condition so as not to overwhelm yourself energetically. Here is a post we did about how to choose stones which may also be helpful to you.

I hope this is helpful to you :)
