"I'm not very good at meditating. At least, not focusing while meditating. I am, however, very good at spacing out, at home listening to music or out walking on the shore. I can paint whole worlds in my head while I'm in this state of mind, to the point where I see more of them than the real world around me. Some people do have a hard time with focused meditation but find the whole "free-style" approach is much easier. You can carry a notebook or sketch pad with you and draw or write your impressions and feelings. Carry some crystals in your pockets to help amplify and protect you as you go along.

One of the best for this type of meditation would be Labradorite or Lapis Lazuli. Both will help enhance the flow of energy from your Third Eye Chakra to the Source or your higher power.
