Question:

"Could you please provide me with a thorough detailed description of what Golden Rutile does?"

Answer:

Hi there L,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Golden Rutile is both Hematite and Golden Rutile in one awesome crystal! It will have properties of both Hematite as well as Golden Rutile.

Hematite is a very grounding crystal and some find it's even better at grounding that crystals like Black Tourmaline or Jaspers because it's more of a metal. It's also a great crystal to use for blood disorders and many report that it helps with iron absorption. You can read more about Hematite here: Hematite Metaphysical Properties

Rutile, I haven't worked with personally but it always reminds of Angels. It's sort of like these little angel hairs that are captured in the stone and that's what it reminds me of. I suppose this also comes from it being known as "Angel Hair" and admittedly, it's what I actually call the crystal myself. You can read more about Rutile here: Rutile Metaphysical Properties

Philip Permutt in his book The Crystal Healer (Vol. 1) says that it is good for sexuality, mental balance and offers protection. It is known to tackle the causes of dis-ease. It is also good for the aura, astral travel and remote viewing.
Judy Hall in her book The Crystal Bible 2, says that:

"Rutile imparts an ethereal vibration to any crystal in which it is included, enhancing out-of-body journeying and angelic contact through its attunement of the divine. Nevertheless, it is not an airy-fairy crystal when accelerating spiritual growth; it goes immediately to the heart of a matter and insists you deal with it."

For me when I look at Golden Rutile, what comes up is being both grounded and connected to the Universe or Divine Source. It reminds me that wherever I walk on this earth that I am guided and surrounded by Angels and Guides, and that I am indeed connected to the Universe, even when I don't feel that.

Also remember that with Golden Rutile Needles on Hematite, those needles are very fine so I wouldn't recommend working with it with bare hands in case those needles get into your eye so please use extreme caution when working with it. My mom has a piece and she keeps it in its box. I don't think it's ever seen a second out that box.

I hope this helps a bit :)
