Caribou Animal Totem

This animal totem is Caribou (aka Reindeer) – Endurance

Every year large herds of Caribou migrate 1300 – 1900 miles across a variety of terrains, some brutal, and in darkness during the winter months. Caribou’s medicine is of endurance, determination, adaption, community, duality and perseverance. Unlike other deer species, both male and female Caribou have antlers. Caribou is also a strong symbol of a personal/spiritual journey who will guide you to the spirit world and back.

Caribou is teaching us to have the fortitude to go the distance. He shows us how the power of adaptability, especially in adverse times, will get things accomplished. Do you have a dream that you are not going after? Are you trying to make your dream a reality but experiencing some brutal times? Caribou is asking you to take a leap of faith and start your journey and reminding you to trust your instincts, stay focused on your own path, tough it out, remove your own road blocks, remain clear of other people’s drama and remember he will guide you to your destination. Caribou is also teaching you to be flexible in your role. You possess a duality of energies. Learn to balance the masculine and feminine energies. Sometimes you will need to take the leading role and other times become the follower. You can continue to move forward while keeping within the flow of the group. Caribou tells you that your journey will be long, but reminds you that you will reach your destination. He shows you to find your inner peace and your place as you walk through life.

Crystals that will help you remember Caribou’s medicine are:

Endurance:

Adaptability:

Trust Your Instincts/Intuition:

Balance:
