I'm a bit new to crystals and was wondering if you could recommend a book. Something that will educate about crystals/minerals.

Hi D,

Thanks for contacting us. Congratulations on beginning your crystal journey! There are many reference books available on crystals that can be very helpful when starting out. Here are some that I like:

The Crystal Healer by Philip Permutt – This book is very colorful with lots of basic info and great pictures. It doesn’t have a lot of in depth info on crystals, but is a great beginner book.

The Illustrated Directory of Healing Crystals by Cassandra Eason – This book also has lots of basic crystal info on different topics as well as specific qualities of 150 different crystals. It contains more detailed information set up in a very easy to follow format.

The Crystal Bible or The Crystal Encyclopedia by Judy Hall – These two have more information and more crystals included. Judy Hall’s books are easy to understand and follow, and include the basics on how to use crystals too.

The Book Of Stones by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian – A very detailed reference book with lengthy descriptions for each crystal.

Love Is In The Earth Series by Melody – Melody's books are very detailed and contain many different crystals, but some are not commonly found. When you are craving more than ust basic information, these books are great references.

There are many, many more books available, but this list will give you somewhere to start. I hope you find these helpful. May your journey be blessed with Love and Light.

Crystal Blessings,

Stephanie A.
