What would you recommend in the way of a crystal for balancing one'a energy? I,have never worked with crystals before, so maybe a light introductory book as well ? Thanks!

Thank you for contacting Healing Crystals as you begin working with crystals. A book I like for beginners is Judy Hall's "Encyclopedia of Crystals" because it covers a very large number of crystals, with good quality pictures and the book is arranged by color so that you can find crystals more easily if you are trying to identify them. For basic crystal how-to's Phillip Permutt's "The Crystal Healer" might be to your liking.
To balance your energy, Zebra Jasper can be a good choice as it has the opposite energies of white and black jaspers.
