Carnelian is my favorite stone at the moment and I've grown very attached to my current stone.
I was wondering if there were any health hazards in mixing Carnelian and tattoo ink? I know Carnelian is comprised of Iron Oxide, but am not sure whether or not it will cause my skin to inflame or reject the powder over time.
Dear C,
I must share the standard disclaimer that I am not a doctor and cannot give out medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a compliment to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care.
I would recommend against doing this.
1. You can not guarantee that there are no harmful or toxic inclusions in the crystal. This is in my opinion taking a chance on serious health issues.
2. It would be the same as having rocks or gravel under the skin that can become infected.
I do not recommend this course of action.
