Question:

"Dear Healing Crystal, Can you give some advice on how to choose a pendulum and how to use it? What sort of crystal is good or just depend on my preference? It is new to me. Thanks in advance."

Answer:

Hi S:

Thank you so much for your question about how to use pendulums. We have an article with ideas on how to use them, here is the link: Working with Pendulums

And we also have several videos on our You Tube channel! Here is a link to the "Introduction to Pendulums" video and you will see several others up there: Introduction to Pendulums - YouTube

Very simply, you can use a pendulum for healing by waving it over your Chakra(s) or the area where you feel illness/discomfort and asking that the area be cleared of any negative/harmful energy. Moving the pendulum counter clockwise can remove the negative energy and then reverse the motion to clockwise to fill the area with positive, healing energy (if that is your intention for the pendulum and its swings).

It is also possible to use a pendulum for divination. The article and the video here have easy to follow instructions that you can help you to use your pendulum effectively to find answers when you may feel that you need help.

I would start with a basic crystal like Clear Quartz or Amethyst, both make excellent pendulums because they are universal healers and both are excellent for communications from your higher self and higher beings. And of course you should always go for the crystal that calls to you. The crystals really choose us as long as we are open to their energy.

Thank you again for your question and for your support of HealingCrystals.com. I hope that I was able to help you and that you will let us know if you have any further questions.

Wishing you of Love and Light!

Crystal Blessings!
