Can I keep all of my stones together in one bowl or should I keep them separate? Thank you.
Hi! Thank you for your inquiry. Stones can be collected together and placed in a bowl if they are all tumbled and of similar hardness. There are some crystals that are easily scratched and you may wish to place these in their own containers. To find out if there are soft, you can check out their "hardness". The higher the number (scale of 1-10), the harder they are. For example, on our website, Jet is soft and is rated anywhere from .05 to 2.5. At the higher end you have Rubies, which are rated a 9 on the hardness scale. If they are "rough" or "raw" they need to be placed separately so they don't scratch each other. Rough crystals will scratch other crystals and may be more fragile than tumbled crystals.
