Thank you for all the information on your site about making crystal-infused waters/elixirs. I'm wondering if crystals can be used to directly infuse oils as well (carrier oils like olive or jojoba, not essential oils) for topical application? If so, would one still want to avoid potentially toxic stones, or would they be okay if only used topically?
Hi K,
Thanks for sending us your questions. Yes, you can infuse any oils with crystal energy. To use them topically, I would still be cautious of using the more toxic stones. While ones containing small amounts of aluminum and such would probably not be an issue, I feel that a stone like Malachite (that contains copper sulphate) should still only be used with the indirect method, which will also work for oils.
You can also see this list of potentially toxic crystals here: https://www.healingcrystals.com/Crystal_Safeguards_Articles_1009.html
Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.
Love and Light to you on your journey,
-Stephanie A.
