This Animal Totem is Butterfly - Transformation.
Butterfly medicine is about Transformation, but also Observation (recognizing the stage of life that you are in), Creativity, Introspection, Sharing, and Rebirth.
There are 4 stages of a Butterfly's life cycle just, as there are 4 stages with our life cycle:
Unlike the Butterfly, we go through these cycles on a daily, weekly, and yearly basis. We go through lots of mini cycles within the larger overall cycle. To me, the key to Butterfly's medicine is knowing what stage you are in and what you should be doing in that stage and, most importantly, what is getting in your way of getting it done. First ask yourself when you are doing something, ‘what stage am I in?’, then ‘what do I need to do?’, then ‘what is holding me back?’, and then, ‘can someone else benefit from what I have learned?’ Knowing the answer to these very few questions, you will begin to "flutter" through life.
