Brookite is typically a small black crystal with brown and copper coloring. It may have a glassy or a semi-metallic luster, and ranges from transparent to opaque. Brookite is often found in flat, long crystals with striations. This crystal may also be pyramidal, plate-like, or bladed.
Brookite is a polymorph of titanium oxide, along with Rutile and Anatase.
