Hello I have been having a problem with feeling the energy come up through the floor in my house and feeling energy all around me. Someone told me to put black tourmaline all around. does it matter if crystal or not. Please help. I can't even hold the phone it bothers me.

Thank you for visiting our website. It sounds like you have quite an energy problem in your house. Not knowing what kind of a source this strong energy is coming from, it is concerning. I want to ask you if others in the house are having similar sensations, or is it only you. I get a sense that this is unbearable for you, so I suggest you consider getting a medical checkout to rule out any health problems that may be causing this issue.
That being said, I can now move on to stones that might help you.
What you are experiencing sounds like a severe case of electromagnetic pollution in your home. Cell phones, computers, and televisions are among the possible causes of this measurable phenomena. If it is impossible for you to scale down on these items, your only other option at the moment would be the strategic placement of certain crystals around your home.
The stone you mention, Black Tourmaline, also known as Schorl, is excellent for absorbing and transmuting negative energies. More importantly in your case, it is also perfect for protecting against electromagnetic smog. Gridding your house with Black Tourmaline should help. Place pieces of this stone around your home, and specifically, next to any possible culprits. I keep a small, double terminated Black Toumaline next to my computer, and then I also have a few more pieces scattered around my house. Considering your high sensitivity to this energy in your home, it might be a good idea for you to wear Black Tourmaline. Another crystal that could help you is Smokey Quartz. This stone is helpful in grounding energies, and can draw negative energies off of the item it is placed on. I keep a couple of those in my home as well. Smokey Quartz is a very protective stone as well.
Finally, Lepidolite is another type of crystal that would be best placed on or next to an offending item, especially computers. Lepidolite can transmute and dissipate negative energies. As an extra benefit, Lepidolite can ease and lift depression, and helps in the removal of blockages from the crown to the throat chakras.
When addressing severe issues with crystals, I prefer to use stones that are closest to their natural state. While tumbled stones will still retain their specific qualities, and often are the only way to have access to certain stones, in your case, I feel that the natural stones would be the most beneficial for you.
