Clear Quartz Tower

Question:

"I would like to know which stones you would recommend for an animal aggressive dog. I own a German Shepard who at times can be very high strung, impatient and anxious. When she is around other dogs she does not know she is prone to barking and acting up. I would like to compliment her training with some stones for energy work. What would you recommend? Is it possible for stones to absorb any old "programming" wounds that she has carried from a young age. Would stones work on humans in the same fashion?

2nd question: Will you explain more of the grid work that is talked about on your website. I notice that there are stones used for grid work. How does someone do that and how does someone know how to set that up? Just would like to know a little more especially if it can enhance your home environment.

Thank you for your time. I am very excited to have found your website and have made your website my source for stones and pendulums."

Our Answer:

Dear Bianca~

There are different types of crystal grids that people use. You can make a grid under a massage table for healing purposes, you can make a prosperity grid on an altar to attract wealth, or you can grid your home for protection. In any case, grid making involves acquiring a number of crystals with metaphysical properties that match your purposes, and placing them in a type of geometric pattern, usually centered around a master crystal. Some people use all tumbled stones in their grids, but I prefer to use points for at least some of the crystals, as I feel they are better able to send energy in a specific direction. I almost always use some sort of Quartz Crystal Tower as the center crystal, to direct the intent up into the universe. Some would debate that last statement, however, I feel that Clear Quartz is the best choice for the center crystal because it is the most programmable and has the best amplification of the mineral kingdom. Other crystals I like for the center piece are Amethyst, Smokey Quartz, Citrine, and Rutilated Quartz, all of which are members of the Quartz Family.

So let's say you wanted to make a grid to attract a new love into your life. You would want to get crystals such as Rose Quartz and maybe Amethyst, and a decent Clear Quartz Crystal Tower for the center piece. The Rose Quartz could be tumbled or cut, since it is very difficult to find Rose Quartz in point form, and the Amethyst could be in points, or tumbled, but points could help to direct the energy of the grid into the center crystal. You could alternate the Rose Quartz and Amethyst pieces in a circle around the Clear Quartz in the center. The Amethyst would have the points inward, facing the Clear Quartz center piece. You would want to clear and program all of the stones before setting them in place. In a grid like this, you could even place a piece of paper, with your intent written on it, beneath the center crystal.

As far as enhancing the home environment goes, you could consider using a number of stones that have the metaphysical qualities matching your purposes, and place them in strategic locations throughout your home. Some people like to put a crystal in every corner, while others would place them in areas that get the most traffic. If you are looking for protection, you might choose crystals for that purpose and place one in each room. There are many different ways to make crystal grids, and the best way for you would depend on your specific purposes.

Now, on to your dog. Many of the larger breed dogs can be high strung, especially after a difficult puppyhood. A calming and soothing crystal would be in order here. Some people like to place crystals in their dogs' water bowls. It would have to be large enough that you would feel confident that she would not eat the crystal. Rose Quartz is soothing and offers a vibration of pure love which can help your dog heal from old wounds. Amethyst would be helpful in healing the spiritual trauma that often occurs with issues from the past. Clear Quartz is known as the "master healer" and may be another option. All three of these crystals can be programmed to help remove negative vibrations that are lingering with your dog. I've heard of some pet owners who place a crystal in their pets' beds. One thing you could consider is attaching a pendant or two of the crystals mentioned to your dog's collar. Please try to cleanse crystals that are worn on a somewhat regular basis, and especially after any intense situation your dog has gone through.

When it comes to crystals for pets, you may have to get creative. Use the above as a guideline, but you know your dog best. It might be a situation of trial and error, as frequently happens with people (including me) and their crystals. We are all individuals and our energies differ from one being to the next. Generally speaking, crystals work in the same way for animals as they work for humans. However, the energetic needs of the animal may not always be as self-evident as they are for humans, so it can be a little more challenging to do energy work with animals.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Blessings,
~Crystal CAT
