Question:

"My boyfriend lost his daughter 12 years ago. She was murdered and the person responsible has never been brought to justice. He is still having a hard time dealing with it and has a lot of anger. He has never really been able to grieve. He has also told me he is emotionally detached to a certain degree. I carry rose quartz and amethyst with me from time to time. I actually met him while carrying these. He is a great guy would like to help him with these issues. I'm not sure how receptive he would be to carrying these crystals. Could you suggest some that will help? Also could I place them under his mattress? Thank you! I appreciate any suggestions."

Answer:

Dear B,

I am sorry to hear about your friend's situation. It is devastating when a child dies, let alone under the circumstances this person did.  I am going to recommend some crystals, but I do suggest explaining about the crystals to the gentleman. We can't go against a person's will, but you can introduce them to him in jewelry or as small decorative objects to see how he feels about them.

To release some of the strong emotions, Scapolite would be beneficial. To transmute the feelings being experienced, Obsidian would be helpful.  To deal with the loss I like the combination of Black Onyx and Rose Quartz. To help reduce and diminish the anger, Chrysocolla and Bloodstone could be helpful.

What you can do is give him an angel in any of the crystals mentioned above for him to carry in his pocket or have by his bedside. Then if he is comfortable with that, a pendant or a bracelet may bring the energy even closer. Introducing the crystals to him slowly will give him time to adjust to the energies without being overwhelmed by the emotions.

The most important thing is to give him time. Everyone releases grief in their own way and many people take years to let go of the pain. By slowly introducing crystals to him, he may find them to be gentle and soothing on those days when life is too hard to deal with.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

Crystal Blessings!
