I would like to set up my desk at work with a set of crystals that would promote love, peace, and harmony among the employees. There is a lot of jealousy and gossip currently going on in the office of mostly women. I would also like to keep my phone calls filled with love. Is there a group of crystals that I can keep in a pouch in my desk that would work together better than others?

I found an article that I wrote a few years back that I think will help to offer a variety of crystal suggestions. See what you think!

In today’s hectic world, most people tend to split their time between the workplace and home. For many, they may actually spend more time at work than they do at home. Consequently, the stress levels have increased due to the pressure one feels to succeed, to get that raise, to compete head on for that one promotion slot. Working with a group of people, in any type of setting- be it an office environment, a health care facility or a customer service atmosphere-can be challenging on a variety of levels. This article’s intent is to face some of these issues and show how crystals can assist in even the most detrimental environment and make your time at work more efficient, tolerable, productive and yes, even fun!!

The World of Machines
So you work in a world of mechanized pollution. Faxes spitting out continuously, phones constantly bombarding your ears and space with their ringing, a sea of voices in constant chatter, computer screens and their electromagnetic toxins are all forms of energy that can affect the workplace and you. Here are a few suggestions that you can use to help you energetically clean up these areas.

Try placing some Milky Quartz in your workspace to help smooth out and soften those edges that constant noise pollution can cause.

Rainbow Fluorite is an excellent office companion! It works well on electromagnetic stressors of any kind, especially if you work with a computer all day.

Placing a piece of Chrysocolla beside your phone or computer can assist in keeping away unpleasant and persistent communications from those with less than positive intent.

Kunzite placed in your work area can lower or relieve the stress one may feel due to the effects of constant noise pollution.

Rutilated Quartz is wonderful for healing our office environment and its pollution.

Oh! The Drama!-Are we addicted?
Yes, we all have had them-those in the workplace who make their day more interesting by gossiping and pettiness. Those who fuel the “dramas” at the office. More employees than not have been on the receiving end of this workplace pollution. While the intent on such gossip/drama may vary, inevitably it makes for a more stressful environment.

Carry some Tourmalinated Quartz in your pocket or place on your desk to assist in dispersing this type of energy and to clear the air of minor resentments.

Want to lash out at some perceived injustice due to gossip? Take a breath and grab your Super Seven. It allows you to take that extra minute to contemplate the situation—then respond instead of a non-thinking, rash reaction.

Place a piece of Azurite on your desk, in a corner of your office, or in your pocket, to lessen gossip and bring out your leadership abilities. It is a great stone to carry when you choose not to engage in idle gossip, but instead communicate openly and honestly.

Pale Blue Angelite provides protection and in some cases, deflection, against cruel words, prejudice, intolerance and abrasive individuals.

Raw or tumbled Danburite can infuse us with the energy of tolerance and non-judgment. It allows us to be the example instead of engaging in the dynamic of gossip and drama.

Yellow Jasper is an excellent preventive for those who gossip about you or against less than positive colleagues.

Turn that Negativity frown, upside down!
The biggest issue I have been asked to assist with, is negativity in the workplace. I have several suggestions that are effective and can beautify your work area.

Try a Quartz Crystal sphere on a decorative stand in your office or workspace. Spheres are excellent resources to take any negative energy in the area and transmute them into positive energy.

Pyrite, whether in cubed, flat suns or chispas, is one of my favorite pieces to use to keep those negative vibes at bay and brings harmony to those who work together.

An Amethyst Geode, sphere, matrix plate or pyramid can be a welcomed addition to anyone’s work area. Amethyst helps to soothe and smooth anger, impatience, conflict or those feelings of being generally overwhelmed.

Feel like you are “on trial” where you work? Try Purple Fluorite for absorbing negativity while lowering tension levels. Great to carry when you have those employee meetings or briefings.

Kyanite is a very powerful piece to protect one from negativity or hostility, yet also encourages the spirit of connection—strengthening your relationship with your workmates.

There are professions where there is more than a fair share of negativity and hostility. For those who are blessed to work in customer service venues such as the medical profession, retail/public relations and telemarketing, try carrying some Larimar in your pocket. Larimar will help you to stay calm, communicate wisely and successfully transact the business at hand.

Green Moss Agate is a wonderful stone to filter out that negativity while nurturing the body and soul.

Rose Quartz shares its love energy in any environment. Place some Rose Quartz on your desk and allow its protective barrier to shield you from harmful words or deeds, while infusing everyone around you with peace and love.

Pale pink or lavender Kunzite at work can be an effective helper in the area of undue pressures.

Try a bowl of tumbled Citrine in your office to keep negativity and the people that spread it, at bay.

Mookaite Jasper shields against negativity. Reduces obstacles and worries.

Keep that negativity away from your work space. Wear or display a piece of Jet.

Did you say something?
Communication in the workplace can be quite the challenge. How many times have instructions been given or received in a less than clear manner or something was said that was totally misunderstood? Need more clarity in your communications at work?

Try some Selenite to encourage clear communications.

Put a piece of Howlite in your pocket to assist in non-confrontational and open communications with integrity. Perfect for those that work in the customer service industry.

Blue Lace Agate, with its pale blue coloring, can assist with communications, especially public speaking. Want to keep the peace? Use Blue Lace Agate to soften your confrontations.

The blue-greens of Chrysocolla can assist in promoting useful and positive communications, especially with those who tend to be abusive.

We have all been involved in those mixed messages—but no more! Try some blue Topaz for clarifications in all communications. Share your viewpoint while allowing others a fair hearing as well.

Don’t take your work home with you!

You come home, full of tension from the day’s activities. Don’t want to carry your work into your home environment? Try sitting in a quiet place at home with some Moonstone before you begin your evening with your family or friends. It will melt away that tension and stress and make your home time more loving and productive-for everyone.

Hold a piece of Blue Chalcedony to absorb any lingering stress or irritability from your day. Walk through your door calm, happy and tension free.

The blue/greens of Amazonite are wonderful for easing that anger and irritability. Hold a piece on your commute home.

ManganoCalcite lowers your stress, both at the workplace and the travel home.

A few extras for a positive work environment

Here are a few others to assist in positive ways to make your workplace happy and healthy.

Try some Lapis Lazuli to embody serenity in the workplace, to maintain integrity and trust.

Larimar can also assist in creating a calm and productive atmosphere.

Apatite counters that stress overload we have all felt at one time or the other, which can lead to burnout.

Place some green and/or blue Calcite in your bath and melt your stress away.

Want some energy assistance with that promotion? Try placing a slab of Moss Agate decoratively on your desk or wear a tumbled piece in a medicine bag or jewelry.

Fuchsite in the workplace encourages teamwork and cooperation.

Amber not only attracts success and abundance, but assists in calmly dealing with those that are confrontational.

These are just a few suggestions that can assist in making your relationship with your workspace and work mates a more productive and positive. Use the crystals and stones as Interior Design pieces and be creative! Put some tumbled stones in a bowl or Zen garden. Place a gem tree or other crystal creation on your desk. Put a crystal in your pocket or wear jewelry made with stones/crystals. These are easy and quick solutions and fun to create as well. So make your space as peaceful and relaxing as you can. The more relaxed you are, the more productive you can be, in even the most stressful of situations.
