Monkey Animal Totem

This animal totem is Monkey – Creativeness, Social, Aggressiveness

Monkey’s agile mentality is showing you that using creativity and imagination will provide you with insight when you need it most. Monkey is said to represent the dark side of the human psyche but he also holds the key to right living on earth which has been referenced so many times by the adage “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”. Monkey is asking you to see both the dark and light in all things, weigh all the avenues, see things from all angles and all possible outcomes, and then choose the right course of action to take.

Monkey enjoys socializing and being with others of their kind.  He exhibits a curiosity and will often watch the habits of others. His intelligence allows him to learn and emulate their actions and movements. Monkey’s intelligence helps him to be understanding and compassionate and he creates bonds with the members of his troop. Monkey is teaching you to build bonds with your network of loved ones and to always look out for them because they are the most important members out of all of your social networks.

Monkey loves playing tricks but he teaches you to be careful and wise about playing tricks and the effects they will have on the recipient. Even though Monkey can be humorous, he has a vicious side. He can become outwardly aggressive and highly reactive to other troops or animals. His is telling you not to go off in a fit of rage, even if defending your troop.  Composure is the lesson. You have other tools you can employ. Use your mental agility to choose another path.

Crystals to help remind you of Monkey’s lessons are:

Creativeness/Imagination:

Social/Community:

Aggressiveness/Composure:
