How wonderful that you are beginning your spiritual journey! We are so happy you have found us too. Sugilite is a great crystal for helping you find your purpose in life. I also recommend using Moldavite and Rutilated Quartz to further along your spiritual development. Moldavite is a very high energy crystal and some people can feel uncomfortable or even ill when using it if they are not ready for the energy. To prevent this, always use a grounding stone, like Rutilated Quartz or Obsidian, with Moldavite until you are used to the higher energy. Also, I suggest Clear Quartz and Amethyst which are both great for healing a variety of physical and spiritual problems. Both of these are also useful in keeping the charkras balanced and enhancing spiritual awareness.
I am sorry you have had some trouble finding a local mentor. Perhaps the timing is not right. Meanwhile, there are other ways to find guidance. Many books are available and also tons of information is available online. Some websites, like Facebook, have communities and groups online that you may be able to join for support. We have a number of Youtube videos available with information for beginners. While you may not be able to find the mentor you are looking for, you would benefit from participating in local meditations and workshops, if available. This will help you to build a network of friends on the same path. Try inquiring at local crystal or metaphysical stores to see if they know of any groups in the area. Alternative healing offices may also know of events locally. Eventually, this may lead you to the guidance you are seeking. You can also look inward for guidance and let your intuition lead you in the right direction. Have you tried asking the universe for help finding guidance?
