Plancheite is a hydrated copper silicate that is so closely related to Shattuckite in appearance and chemical composition that they are often misconstrued. Plancheite is found in copper deposits alongside Dioptase, Chrysocolla, and Malachite. Plancheite is a light blue to green-blue translucent crystal. It has a fibrous texture and a silky luster.
