Hi everybody! I was wondering what the difference is between Tangerine Quartz (not aura) and Citrine. I have both in cluster form and they look so much alike. I know they both work on the Sacral Chakra. I also notice that Tangerine Quartz is much more expensive - is that due to rarity? Which one has a higher vibration? Thanks for any insights!

Hi L,

Thank you for your inquiry.  Tangerine Quartz tends to be more orange in color than Citrinedue to iron inclusions (and possibly other minerals).  Natural Citrineis more of a pale yellow color, the darker pieces tend to be heat treated Amethyst.  Citrinealso works on the Solar Plexus chakra, and is one of my favorite crystals to use for this area.  Both crystals are helpful with creativity, but you are correct in assuming that Citrineis more common and therefore less expensive.  As far as vibration, this may depend on the particular crystal in question.  You can click on the links embedded in each of the crystal names above to see what products we carry them in and read more about their properties.

Crystal Blessings!
