Hello. I am a return customer who is considering purchasing some Pyrite. It is my understanding that the stone is excellent for protection as well as activating a few of the chakras(solar plexus, third eye). My question is about the difference between the polished cube and the natural cluster. The former is considerably more expensive than the latter and I want to know if the potency of both stones is equal. I simply want to place it in my home for protection and perhaps use it to help balance my chakras. Thank you!

Hi D,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question about Pyrite. Pyrite is interesting to me because it can come in so many shapes, even before anyone starts cutting and polishing it!

The shape of Pyrite does change its vibration. Cubes are the most grounding, because the geometry of the crystal amplifies the crystal's natural properties. A cluster of little cubes could be stronger than a single large cube that has been cut and polished--it tends to vary from piece to piece.

My recommendation would be that you clear your mind and focus on your intention for the Pyrite and then look at the pictures of the different formations to see which stands out to you as the most attractive at that moment. That very often is a clue as to which one you need. However, if your budget dictates that you need one over the other, then go with what is comfortably affordable because you'll still get the Pyrite's energy, it just might take longer to see the results.

Crystal Blessings,

Debbie Elaine
