What Do You Do With Crystals That You Are No Longer Actively Using?

What do you do with crystals that you no longer need to actively use? Is there a proper way to store them? For instance, I have purchased the Mommy Mix to use during labor and delivery, but will not need them afterwards. Also, do I need to cleanse them before using? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi S,

Thank you for your inquiry.  You have many options when it comes to crystal storage, and should first consider how accessible you want them to be.  The whole idea of "out of sight, out of mind" can ring true for some crystals, and if you feel you may benefit from some of the crystals in the Mommy Mix for additional reasons than what you purchased them for you can display them in a small dish or a bowl and set it on a bookshelf, nightstand, dresser, etc.  However, if you don't feel that you are going to use them for quite some time you could place them in a velvet pouch or a small trinket box.  You can get really creative here, perhaps painting or decorating a used container you already have, and lining it with a nice soft fabric.

I like to cleanse my crystals after I use them as opposed to prior, so that way they are ready to go when I'd like to use or wear them.  However, you could also cleanse them prior so they are happy and shiny as you put them to good use.  What you prefer might also depend on the method you use to cleanse your crystals and the amount of time involved (for example, soaking overnight in salt water versus smudging with sage).

Crystal Blessings~
