What crystals can help to banish a strong destructive, chaotic energy that seems to be stuck/trapped in the house?
(I get the feeling that whatever is wrong has to do with the land itself, either where the house is or the lot directly next to it. I was looking through the Issues & Ailments Guide, but I wasn't clear on what crystals to use for this issue.)

Sorry to hear about your house. When clearing a house, you should first smudge the entire house to clear the energy. This can be done with sage (my favorite is white sage) and will clear the stagnant energy in the house. Be sure to open the windows and doors when you are done to release the energy outside. Black Tourmaline is an excellent stone for ridding a house of negative energies. Try placing several pieces around the house or gridding the rooms with it. Jet is another protective stone that draws out negative energies. Smokey Quartz can do this too and also brings in positive energy to replace the negative. You may also consider using Rose Quartz, which can gently bring in love, peace and calming energies. Also, please remember to clear the crystals often to recharge them. I hope this works for your home!

 Perfect! I am hosting a local meetup and tonight's topic is cleansing & clearing! I will be using sage to smudge the attendees this evening! Could not think of better time for this article! We'll also touch on specific crystals. I have hematite in my door way to clear negative energy from all those that enter my home. I also have smokey quartz, obsidian, rose quartz and clear quartz on hand. Other forms of clearing/cleansing we'll talk about include sound, water, essential oils, feng shui and salt.
