I am writing as my brother-in-law has been diagnosed with Bowel Cancer and has recently had 3 quarters of it removed. We're awaiting results but the surgeon has said that it's unlikely that he can be cured (the cancer we think has spread). He's a very fit young man and still only young. I would really appreciate any suggestions as to which crystals I can get for him. My sister in particular is struggling at the moment and if you have any suggestions as to a crystal that can help her through this, I would again be very grateful.

Dear Sarah, I am sorry to hear about your brother-in-law’s condition. The first crystal I would recommend is Bloodstone. This crystal is a detoxifier which helps remove unwanted energies from the body. Red Aventurine is very good for the lower chakras and supports the functioning of the organs in the lower abdomen. Amber is excellent for the digestive system. If your brother experiences pain, try placing the Amber where his body is hurting.
