Tumbled Copal - "Columbian Amber" Extra Polish - This is a special lot of Copal that we received, it has an extra high level of polish. The vendor told us that when he left town the tumbler ran for over a month to obtain this fine polish.
Copal from Columbia is often called "Columbian Amber". To be considered true Amber, resin from pine trees must completely fossilize over a process of 100,000+ years. Most "Columbian Amber" is less than 1,000 years old and has not yet fossilized. Despite the fact that Copal is not yet Amber, Copal will eventually become Amber as it ages and has a very similar vibration.
