Green Tourmaline, also called Verdelite, belongs to a group called Elbaite, which is a member of the Tourmaline family.  Elbaite, is by far the most colorful group, including Indicolite (blue to blue/green), Verdelite (green), Rubellite (pink) and Watermelon (pink with green rind).
