I bought some petalite crystals from you via my friend in Singapore (Lim Lark). I would like to ask if artificial crystals like Artificial Emerald and Artificial Alexandrite (with same composition as their natural counterparts) will be useful in any way, and will they have similar energy, only less intense than their natural counterparts? As I am considering getting an Alexandrite ring, but if I wish to get a natural Alexandrite I will need to save up more as opposed to getting artificial ones which have the same composition.

It is extremely difficult to tell the difference between lab grown or synthetic emeralds and real emeralds visually. True Emerald jewelry is increasingly difficult to find. Asking a qualified jeweler where the piece came from may help to determine whether it is real or synthetic, but even then, many times there is difficulty in knowing the difference. For me, there is a distinct difference in the real versus the synthetic. Since the energy and components used to "grow" the synthetic pieces are remarkably different than natural growth, the energy will also be quite different. For someone else, the energies may be quite the same.
True Alexandrite is a very rare and powerful crystal in its own right. Due to its rarity, it is often mass produced via synthetic or lab grown means. Again, for me, there is a very strong and distinct difference in the energy of synthetic Alexandrite and true Alexandrite. I have one of each and I feel a massive difference in energy. Think of an electric jolt versus a fizz. :)
Remember, the natural growth process of a true and natural crystal is filled with energies from a variety of sources--time, location and accompanying earth changes (heat, water, etc)--all infuse the growing crystal with energy. A synthetic crystal is painstakingly grown in specific conditions but does not possess the natural factors of time, location and earth changes. While they may have the same components, the growth process is so very different. However, since everything IS energy, both synthetic and true will contain energy. For me, I believe the energy of a synthetic is very muted and somewhat scattered.
As I often say, we each carry our own unique energy vibration/frequency. What I feel energy wise with these pieces may not be close to what you may feel with the same pieces. I would recommend that you go to a reputable jeweler and ask for a synthetic version and a true version. Hold each one in your hand for a bit and see what you detect energy wise, then make a personal decision based on what you feel is best for you.
